Chairman’s Message
M.F.A Riyas is a business visionary who was born in Kandy and was a student of Kingswood College. He was also the captain of the college Rugby team. He excelled in his studies as well as sports.
He started his business career at a younger age when he was employed for two years in Kuwait, which gave him the basic experience that set the foundation for his future dynamic business career. In 1990 on his return to Sri Lanka he was appointed as an agent to State Pharmaceutical Corporation and many other multinational as a distributor for Central province.
He is considered a pioneer in Healthcare Tourism Industry of Sri Lanka and currently the Business Head for Dr Rela Institute & Medical Center and managing the Country office in Colombo, One of the world renowned super specialized Hospital in the field of Liver Transplantation and Herpetology. He is also responsible for setting up an office for many International hospital brands to assist and facilitate the patients seeking international medical assistance in Sri Lanka and Maldives.
Furthermore his visionary thinking also evolved in establishing a state of the Art Medical Laboratory Center in Colombo, Forte Diagnostics Pvt Ltd catering the Most Routine to Genomics under one roof catering the need of the country.
In addition to his business portfolio his interest in social services also had been recognized by the fundamental rights and other rights association of Sri Lanka and appointed him as a National Chief Executive Director in Human Rights.
